Port Long Beach is a collection of articles regarding the port. It is designed with echoes of the port itself. Colorful palettes mimic the various colors of the shipping containers as the exposed grid references the precision and structure required to organize all incoming shipments. The vellum pages with repeating cranes were an ode to my drive across the Long Beach bridges on the way to school, where you see the cranes iterated like ducks in a row. Page numbers reel up and down as the book is flipped through and the reel doubles as the page margin.
